Produced by Carlos Santana, Tom Coster, and David Rubinson & Friends; recorded at Wally Heider Recording, San Francisco; mastered by George Horn and Phil Brown. Managed by Bill Graham Management. An eclectic mid-period Santana set blending Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz-rock fusion, and soul: eleven tracks including Carnaval, Let The Children Play, Verão Vermelho, and María Caracóles. Notable session contributors: Paul Jackson (Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters) on bass, Maxine Waters and Oren Waters on backing vocals, José “Chepito” Areas on timbales and percussion, Tom Coster on keyboards and synthesizer, Gaylord Birch on drums. Lead vocals by Leon Patillo and Pablo Tellez. Includes custom inner sleeve with credits and Festival artwork. Cover art by David Singer. VG+/NM — excellent promo copy.
