One of the most ambitious and emotionally devastating records in rock history — Lou Reed's 1973 song-cycle about a couple's disintegration in a decadent Berlin, produced by Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd's The Wall, Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare). An astonishing session assembled by Ezrin: Jack Bruce (Cream) on bass, Steve Winwood on organ and harmonium, Aynsley Dunbar on drums, Michael Brecker on tenor saxophone, Randy Brecker on trumpet, Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on electric guitars. Mastered and lacquer cut by Randy Kling. Basic tracks recorded at Morgan Studios, London; overdubbing at CTS Studios, London and the Record Plant, New York. US RCA pressing on orange Dynaflex labels. Includes original 8-page booklet insert. VG vinyl in VG+ sleeve.
