Warranty & Item Condition
Echo Sound & Culture
Last updated: October 16, 2026
At Echo Sound & Culture, we sell records, vintage audio equipment, collectibles and other new and previously owned items. We want you to understand what you’re purchasing and what to do if something isn’t right.
Please review each product’s description, condition notes and photographs before placing your order. If you have questions about an item’s condition, testing or suitability, contact us before purchasing.
Warranty Coverage
Unless expressly stated in the individual product listing, Echo Sound & Culture does not provide an additional voluntary warranty or extended repair or replacement plan.
This does not exclude or limit any warranties, guarantees or remedies required by applicable consumer protection law. Any additional warranty expressly offered in a product listing will be honoured according to its stated terms, alongside your legal rights.
Vintage & Previously Owned Items
Vintage and previously owned items may show wear consistent with their age, use and stated condition. We describe known defects, missing components and relevant condition details in the product listing.
Statements about testing refer only to the checks described. An item described as “tested” or “working” has not necessarily been professionally serviced, restored or tested for every function unless the listing specifically states otherwise.
Items offered as untested, for parts or requiring repair will be identified accordingly. These descriptions do not remove your right to receive the item as advertised or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Vinyl Records & Recorded Media
Records are visually graded unless playback testing is expressly noted. Condition grades describe the record and sleeve as stated in the listing; they are not a promise of completely silent playback.
Factory-sealed records remain unopened, so their contents and playback cannot be inspected before sale. Sealed status does not remove applicable rights if an item is defective or materially different from its description.
Please read any specific notes about surface marks, sleeve wear, seam splits, missing inserts or other condition details before purchasing.
Manufacturer Warranties
An original manufacturer’s warranty may have expired or may not transfer with a resale purchase. Do not assume that manufacturer coverage applies unless it is expressly stated in the product listing.
Any manufacturer warranty advertised with an item is subject to its stated eligibility requirements and terms. Nothing in this policy transfers our legal responsibilities to a manufacturer or another third party.
If Something Is Wrong
If your item arrives damaged, is faulty or differs materially from its description, please email hello@echosoundculture.com with:
-
Your order number or proof of purchase.
-
A description of the problem.
-
Photographs of the item and, where relevant, its packaging.
Photographs help us assess the issue, but we understand that some faults cannot be shown in a photograph.
For shipping damage, please retain the item and packaging where reasonably possible so we can investigate with the carrier. Contact us before sending an item back so we can provide appropriate return instructions.
We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable law. Any necessary return arrangements and costs will be handled in accordance with your legal rights.
Our request for prompt contact does not shorten any applicable statutory claim period.
Change-of-Mind Returns
We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges, except where required by law.
This does not affect your rights concerning faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods. Please also review our Return & Refund Policy for information about resolving order issues.
