Dan Hartman is a multi-dimensional figure in American pop and rock: the bassist and co-writer for the Edgar Winter Group (Frankenstein, 1973), a solo dance-pop artist (Instant Replay, 1978), and the writer and producer of Living In America for James Brown (the Rocky IV soundtrack, 1985). The title track I Can Dream About You was featured in Walter Hill’s film Streets Of Fire (1984) and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100; We Are The Young (A1) also charted. Written by Hartman alongside Nona Hendryx (of LaBelle, Lady Marmalade) and Charlie Midnight (songwriter and producer for James Brown and Joe Cocker).
