The recordings were produced across three distinct production identities that reflect Bowie’s evolving creative and business relationships: MainMan (Tony Defries’s production company, behind the Ziggy and Aladdin Sane recordings), Gem Productions (the early-70s transitional work), and Bowie’s own later productions.
