A rare South American pressing of one of Hendrix’s most celebrated posthumous live collections — the Uruguay Polydor pressing of Hendrix In The West, issued in 1973 for the Uruguayan domestic market. Uruguayan pressings of international rock titles from the early 1970s were produced in small quantities for a limited local market and are genuinely scarce in collector circulation; international Hendrix pressing collectors specifically seek out South American variants for their regional label configurations, Spanish-language track titles, and relative rarity. This copy is exactly that: the track listing has been fully localized into Spanish — Amante (Lover Man), Zapatos De Gamuza Azul (Blue Suede Shoes), La Reina (God Save the Queen), La Banda Del Sargento Pepper, Ala Pequeña (Little Wing), Casa Roja (Red House) — a feature unique to this pressing and a significant collecting detail in its own right. Original cardboard cover. Hendrix In The West (1972, posthumous) draws from landmark live performances: the Berkeley Community Theatre (1970), the Isle of Wight Festival (1970), and the Royal Albert Hall (1969). Produced by Eddie Kramer — Hendrix’s definitive recording engineer and producer, responsible for Are You Experienced?, Axis: Bold as Love, and Electric Ladyland — and John Jansen; engineered by Abe Jacob. The band across the compilation spans both Experience configurations: Mitch Mitchell (drums) with Noel Redding (bass, original Experience) and Billy Cox (bass, Band of Gypsys). Vinyl grades Near Mint with excellent gloss and clean surfaces. Sleeve grades VG+ with light age and storage wear only; strong overall presentation.
