Bardeux were a Los Angeles-based duo — vocalists Acacia (Acacia Smith) and Melanie Taylor — who emerged from the late-80s Italo/Euro-influenced dance-pop scene. Their debut When We Kiss received strong club play and helped establish Enigma Records as a home for synth-driven pop. I Love To Bass (1989) sits squarely at the hip-house and dance-pop crossover moment, with five mixes across two sides: the Bring The Noiz Dance Mix, the Turn It Up House Mix, the Cross-Over Radio Mix, the Industrial/Mini-Truck Mix, and a Man Throwin’ Down Instrumental. Produced, performed, and arranged by Jon St. James and Michael Eckart. Photography by Lex Remlin; art direction by Pat Dillon. Original cellophane intact. Pressing note: catalog number appears as 7 75524-0 on the spine and sleeve reverse, and as 7 75524-1 on the vinyl labels. NM/NM — excellent gloss, no visible wear. Visually graded; not play tested.
