A rare and early Canadian privately produced poetry and music LP — factory sealed, Mint throughout. Featuring Brent Carver — who would go on to win the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 1993 for his performance as Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman on Broadway, becoming one of Canada’s most celebrated and internationally recognized stage performers; he also won the Olivier Award and Drama Desk Award for the same role. This 1978 recording predates his major theatrical career by over a decade and represents an exceptionally rare early document of his work. Poetry by R. Jack Berger; produced, arranged, and conducted by Victor Davies — a significant Canadian composer and conductor whose work spans orchestral, theatrical, and popular forms. Recorded at Century 21 Studios; recorded and mixed by John Hildebrand; mastered by Craig Richardson. The album blends orchestral instrumental variations, poetry readings, and vocal pieces across 18 tracks — the title piece Lady Of The Mist appears as an instrumental variation (A1), performed version (A2), and reprise (B8); Reverend Ringo appears in multiple orchestral variations interspersed with poetry readings. A unique and highly collectible Canadian artefact in pristine sealed condition.
