Canadian A&M reissue of one of the Tijuana Brass’s biggest commercial successes — the 1965 original reached #1 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart. Produced by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss; arranged by Herb Alpert; engineered by Larry Levine. Manufactured and distributed by A&M Records of Canada Limited; plated at Monarch Record Mfg. Co. (lacquers originally intended for Monarch, with the MR stamp scratched out in the runout, △14453 indicating Monarch plating); pressed at the RCA Records Pressing Plant, Smiths Falls, Ontario (identifiable by the 1″ press ring on this 1972 pressing); sleeve printed by Ever Reddy. Twelve tracks including the perennial instrumentals Tijuana Taxi, Spanish Flea, 3rd Man Theme, Walk, Don’t Run, Zorba The Greek, and A Walk In The Black Forest. Small scratches on vinyl; sleeve shows a little wear but overall VG+.
