The album that marks Jefferson Starship’s full pivot from the psychedelic roots of Jefferson Airplane into polished AOR — Winds Of Change (1982) is the commercial statement that set the template for the band’s mid-1980s mainstream peak. Produced by Kevin Beamish, who had produced REO Speedwagon’s Hi Infidelity (1980) — the best-selling album of that year and one of the defining AOR records of the era — bringing the same arena-ready production sensibility to Jefferson Starship. The lead single Be My Lady reached #28 on the Billboard Hot 100. Canadian pressing on Grunt Records, the label founded by Jefferson Airplane’s Paul Kantner and distributed through RCA. Second pressing (matrix runout Ⓐ²). NM vinyl plays clean; sleeve VG+ with minor edge and storage wear.
