The soundtrack to the 1971 concert film Jimi Plays Berkeley, released in France by Barclay in 1975 (the film premiered in Paris on February 12, 1975, presented by Bernard Dauman). Eight tracks drawn from five legendary performances spanning 1967–1970: the Berkeley Community Theatre (May 30, 1970 — both first and second shows), De Lane Lea Studios and Olympic Studios (London, January–February 1967), Woodstock (August 18, 1969), the Royal Albert Hall (February 24, 1969), and the Fillmore East (January 1, 1970). The centrepiece is the 12:38 Machine Gun from the Fillmore East New Year's show — one of the most celebrated live Hendrix recordings in existence. Also includes an 8:57 Little Wing and a 7:50 Voodoo Child (Slight Return) from the Royal Albert Hall. Pressed by MPO; distributed by C.P.F. Barclay; printed by Offset France. Note: sleeve and labels contain two known misprints — Little Wing listed as "Little Wings" and Voodoo Child listed as "Woodoo Chile."
