A sealed vintage copy of one of the great posthumous Hendrix releases — the double LP soundtrack to the 1973 Warner Bros. documentary film. Produced by Joe Boyd and John Head, the set draws from legendary live performances across Hendrix's career: Monterey Pop Festival (June 1967), Woodstock (August 1969), Fillmore East (New Year's Eve 1969), Berkeley Community Theatre (May 1970), and the Isle of Wight Festival (August 1970) — his final major performance. Four sides of live Hendrix at his most incendiary, interspersed with interview excerpts from the film: Wild Thing, Machine Gun (both the 7:45 and the 12:35 versions), Red House (11:18), The Star Spangled Banner, Johnny B. Goode, Purple Haze, Hey Joe, Like A Rolling Stone, and Hear My Train A-Comin'. Columbia House Club pressing.
