Lacquer cut by Joe Webster; mastered at Sterling Sound by George Marino — the definitive Sterling Sound engineer for rock of this era, whose credits include AC/DC’s Back In Black and Aerosmith. Printed by Ever Reddy. Recorded at Cherokee Studios, Hollywood and at L.B.’s Garage — Buckingham’s own home studio, which he used extensively across his solo recordings and which reflects the intimate, self-directed approach that distinguishes his work outside Fleetwood Mac. Executive produced by Roy Thomas Baker — the producer of Queen’s A Night At The Opera (Bohemian Rhapsody), News Of The World, and Jazz. Produced by Lindsey Buckingham and Gordon Fordyce. Lindsey Buckingham is the guitarist, vocalist, and production architect of Fleetwood Mac — the creative force behind Rumours, Tusk, and Tango In The Night. Go Insane (1984) is his second solo album, recorded between the Fleetwood Mac albums Mirage (1982) and Tango In The Night (1987) during one of his most creatively prolific periods. The title track incorporates a home recording of Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys — a well-documented detail that adds significant historical resonance to the record; Wilson died in December 1983, months before the album’s release, making the sample a document of one of his final recordings. Inner lyric sleeve. Sealed — Mint vinyl and sleeve, presumed unplayed.
