One of Roy Harper's most celebrated albums — and one of the great cult folk-rock records of the 1970s. The backing band assembled for this session reads like a supergroup: David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Bill Bruford (Yes / King Crimson), Chris Spedding, David Bedford, and The Grimethorpe Colliery Band (the brass band that would later feature in the 1996 film Brassed Off). Produced by Peter Jenner; engineered by John Leckie. Seven tracks including the 13-minute suite The Game (Parts 1–5) and the deeply moving title track — a 7-minute elegy for the passing of an era, widely considered one of Harper's finest compositions. Canadian WEA Chrysalis pressing; manufactured and distributed by WEA Music Of Canada Ltd.; printed by Shorewood Packaging Corp. of Canada Ltd. Previous owner name cleanly stamped on front sleeve and label. VG+ vinyl in VG sleeve with original plain inner (age toning present).
