Factory sealed Canadian Columbia pressing of Santana’s twelfth studio album, released February 1985 on Columbia/CBS — recorded primarily at Record One, Los Angeles, with additional sessions at Plant Studios, Sausalito and Studio 55, Los Angeles (March 28, 1984 – November 1, 1984). Produced, recorded, arranged, and mixed by Val Garay (known for his work with Kim Carnes, Kenny Rogers, and other major 1980s artists). Mastered by Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab. Carlos Santana is joined here by a strong mid-80s band lineup: Alex Ligertwood and Greg Walker on vocals, David Sancious on synthesizer and guitar, Chester Thompson on drums and keyboards, Alphonso Johnson on bass, and the percussion section of Armando Peraza, Raul Rekow, and Orestes Vilato. Ten tracks including Breaking Out, Written In Sand, Say It Again, and the album closer Right Now (5:58). Issued with a printed inner lyrics sleeve. Pressed, lacquer cut, and mastered at the Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Don Mills, Ontario; manufactured and distributed by CBS Records Canada Ltd. Spine date code B85 (February 1985). Sealed with hype sticker intact.
