Recorded at Dallas Sound Lab, Dallas, Texas and Riverside Sound, Austin, Texas; produced by Richard Mullen and Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble; executive-produced by John Hammond — the legendary Columbia Records A&R man who signed Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Leonard Cohen; his executive producer credit on this album places SRV in direct lineage with the most important signings in American popular music history. The band: Stevie Ray Vaughan (guitar, vocals), Tommy Shannon (bass), Chris Layton (drums), Reese Wynans (keyboards); saxophone by Joe Sublett. Canadian CBS Records Canada Ltd. pressing; pressed, mastered, and lacquer cut at the Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Don Mills, Ontario; printed by Shorewood Packaging Corp. of Canada.
