Supertramp’s final studio album with the classic Roger Hodgson lineup — the last record before Hodgson’s departure and the close of the band’s most celebrated creative period. Pressed on KC-600 audiophile vinyl (noted on label: “This record is pressed with KC-600 audiophile vinyl”) — the same formulation used for select audiophile pressings of the era; some copies were issued on transparent purple vinyl. Produced by Supertramp and Peter Henderson (who also engineered); mastered by Doug Sax at The Mastering Lab and at Europadisk — Sax is one of the most respected mastering engineers in the audiophile community, founder of The Mastering Lab, and is widely associated with the Sheffield Lab direct-to-disc recordings and high-fidelity mastering throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Lacquer cut at The Mastering Lab. Recorded at Unicorn Studios, The Backyard Studio, Rumbo Recorders, and Bill Schnee Studios (Los Angeles area). Art direction and cover concept by Mike Doud; co-direction by Norman Moore; cover photography by Tom Gibson and Jules Bates. It’s Raining Again (A3) was the lead single, reaching US #11 and UK #26. Canadian A&M Records of Canada pressing; pressed by Cinram; printed by Ever Reddy. Includes printed inner lyrics sleeve. Vinyl Near Mint; sleeve VG+ with some wear.
