Canadian Capitol-EMI reissue of Volume 2 of the original 1976 double-album compilation Rock ‘n’ Roll Music — fourteen tracks drawn from the Beatles’ harder-edged catalogue, covering material from 1964–1969. Pressed by Cinram; lacquer cut at The Lacquer Channel Limited (TLC) — identified in the runout as “T.L.C. (CR)”; manufactured and distributed by Capitol Records-EMI of Canada Limited; printed by Shorewood Packaging Corp. of Canada. A Capitol Re-Issue; cover reads “Volume 2” while labels read “Volume II” — a minor pressing inconsistency noted by collectors. Produced by George Martin across the original recordings. Art direction by Roy Kohara — Capitol Records’ long-serving art director responsible for much of the label’s visual identity in the 1970s; illustration by Michael Bryan. Published by Venice Music, Maclen Music Inc., and Knox Music Inc. A strong selection of the band’s rock-oriented material: Revolution (A7), Back In The U.S.S.R. (B1), Helter Skelter (B2, 4:30), Taxman (B3), Hey Bulldog (B5), Birthday (B6), Get Back (B7). Basically mint throughout.
