Pressed at the Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Don Mills, Ontario; distributed by WEA Music Of Canada; printed by Ever Reddy (ER logo on spine). Recorded and mixed by Joe Barbaria at Electric Lady Studios, Greenwich Village, New York — the studio Jimi Hendrix built and where artists from David Bowie to Led Zeppelin have recorded. Door To Door (August 1987) was The Cars’ final studio album before their long hiatus — the band did not record again until Move Like This in 2011. Produced by Ric Ocasek (all tracks written by Ocasek; Greg Hawkes co-produced), featuring the charting single You Are The Girl and the late-1980s synth-rock and pop-rock production that defined the band’s final chapter with the classic lineup of Ocasek, Benjamin Orr (bass and vocals — who died in 2000, making this the last studio album with Orr), Elliot Easton (guitar), Greg Hawkes (keyboards), and David Robinson (drums). Cover design and photography by Marco Glaviano; original painting by Emanuele DiLiberto. Printed inner lyric sleeve included. NM vinyl, clean and glossy; NM sleeve with excellent presentation. A strong copy for Cars, Ric Ocasek, Benjamin Orr, and new wave collectors.
