The album also features Maniac by Michael Sembello (#1 Billboard Hot 100), He’s a Dream by Shandi, and Gloria by Laura Branigan. Giorgio Moroder’s production defines the era: propulsive synth-pop and electro-funk at the peak of his commercial power (he’d also score Midnight Express, Cat People, and Top Gun across the same period).
